Kenny Moore on the Move? ESPN Makes Prediction

In this story:
This is an offseason of change for the Indianapolis Colts. The first big piece of the new-look Colts was brought in after the Super Bowl in the form of new head coach Shane Steichen.
As Steichen and the Colts try and kickstart an offense that ranked 30th in the league in points, could they move some players from their defense?

In an recent article from ESPN, their writers picked one player from every team that could be on the move this offseason. Cornerback Kenny Moore II came up for the Colts.
Moore was a centerpiece of the Colts defense in former coordinator Matt Eberflus' scheme. But since Eberflus' departure, Moore has been through a contract dispute and has had difficulty adapting to Gus Bradley's system. Moore's slot corner role is deemphasized in the current scheme, reducing his once-significant impact and making him less valuable to the Colts. -- Stephen Holder, ESPN
Moore signed a two-year deal with the Colts last season and has a team-friendly contract. He carries an $8.2-million cap hit with no dead-cap money associated.
A 27-year old former-Pro Bowl cornerback with a friendly contract should fetch a good price in a trade. He could be used to offset any deal the Colts make to move up in the draft for the No. 1 overall pick.
There's still a lot of smoke around the Colts moving up to No. 1 to take a quarterback, with the popular choice being Alabama's Bryce Young.
That the Colts would have to give up their No. 4 overall pick is a given, but they'd like to hold on to their 2024 first-round pick, and moving Moore might enable them to do that.
Young, talented corners are valuable pieces to a defense, but if his time is up in Indianapolis, Moore might be more valuable to the Colts as a bargaining chip.
