Report: Former Colts Coach Finds New Home

In this story:
The Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts both made their head coach hires after the Super Bowl last week. That's not all they have in common as the Cardinals have tabbed former Colts' tight ends coach Klayton Adams to be their offensive line coach according to Adam Schefter.
Cardinals are hiring Klayton Adams as their OL coach. Adams was the Colts’ TEs coach the previous two seasons and recently had joined Stanford’s staff as its run-game coordinator and OL coach.

"Cardinals are hiring Klayton Adams as their OL coach," wrote Schefter on Twitter. "Adams was the Colts’ TEs coach the previous two seasons and recently had joined Stanford’s staff as its run-game coordinator and OL coach."
Adams left the Colts to take his new job with the Stanford Cardinal in December.
He didn't last long at Stanford. When the NFL came calling again he quickly joined the Cardinals (no relation).
The Colts gave Adams his first shot in the NFL after making the rounds in the college ranks. He joined Indianapolis in 2019 as an assistant offensive line coach after a six-year stint with the Colorado Buffaloes.
Adams spent two years working as the assistant offensive line coach for the Colts, before being promoted to tight ends coach in 2021. He held that positions for the better part of two years before leaving the Colts in December.
The Colts had the 11th-best rushing attack in 2020 while Adams was still coaching the offensive line. They had the No. 2 rushing attack in 2021 after Adams moved to the tight ends.
Mo Alie-Cox led the Colts' tight ends in receiving in Adam's first year in charge with 24 catches for 316 yards. The Colts spent a third-round pick on Jelani Woods in 2022.
He was the second tight end off the board in last year's draft behind Trey McBride who went in the second round to... the Arizona Cardinals.
Woods led the Colts' tight ends in receiving with almost identical numbers Alie-Cox posted the prior season, 25 catches for 312 yards.
The Colts will hope Woods can make a significant jump in production under new head coach Shane Steichen. Dallas Goedert led Eagles' tight ends with 55 catches for 702 yards last season after posting 830 yards on 56 receptions in 2021.
