First Quarter
Dolphins win the coin flip and defer, touchback starts Case Keenum and Washington at their own 25. The club wants to focus on the run, and Adrian Peterson loses a yard on the first snap of the game.
A three-and-out for Washington as Keenum throws short of the sticks to RB Chris Thompson on third down.
------
After a really questionable penalty on Jon Bostic, Washington finished off the Dolphins drive with a sack by DE Jonathan Allen.

Trey Quinn returns the punt 17 yards, but a penalty will push Washington back inside their own 20.
------
Washington goes three and out on their next drive as well. They had an opportunity on 3rd and 2, but Keenum missed an open Paul Richardson and then threw it late, also passing on an opportunity to get the ball to TE Jeremy Sprinkle.
------
Safety blitz and Landon Collins takes down Josh Rosen after Ryan Kerrigan got the initial pressure, making it 2nd-and-10 at the 18-yard line for Miami.

A three-and-out for Miami gives the ball back to the Redskins as their pass rush has been insanely active against the less-than-stellar Dolphins' offensive line. Quinn calls for a fair catch at the Washington 37, and another flag. Holding on the kick, knocks Washington back to the 27.
------
Another first-down run by Washington, another stuff by the Dolphins, another 3-and-out.
------
The Redskins get their fourth sack of the game after a Kenyan Drake show led to a measurement and a first down.
After a dump off to Mike Gesicki got the Dolphins close on 3rd-and-18, Kallen Ballage takes the direct snap on fourth down and moves the sticks for Miami, down to Washington's 39.
The Dolphins completed a 3rd-and-5 to Albert Wilson, but the refs call a questionable offensive pass interference call that sets Miami back. They have to punt after a very wide throw by Rosen.
------
A five-yard run by Peterson gets Washington out to their 12-yard line to end the quarter.
-------
2nd Quarter
The Redskins offense finally gets in gear. Peterson starts the drive off with an 18-yard trek. After a couple of nice runs moved them near the 30, Peterson explodes again on a shotgun run for 25 yards and moves Washington into Dolphins territory.
Two plays later, Keenum finds Terry McLaurin moving across the end zone for a 25-yard score, the rookie's fourth TD reception of 2019.

Hell of a route by Terry McLaurin. Love the head fake before he breaks back outside. Keenum finds him for the TD #Redskins pic.twitter.com/6HcNVrHOli

-------
The Dolphins are driving, but Collins almost comes up with the pick as he drives down on a deep pass to Gesicki, couldn't hold onto the ball though. A screen to Kenyan Drake sets up another opportunity for the Dolphins to go for it on fourth down in Washington territory.
After a Washington timeout. A big hit on Gesicki knocks the ball loose and a challenge ensues to see whether or not it was a catch, fumble and recovery, or an incomplete pass. Big hit by Collins.
Ruled a catch-and-fumble.

I'm not entirely sure that's a catch.

The play is upheld, but just two snaps later, Quinton Dunbar picks off Rosen with a nice jump on the ball. It's his third pick of the year.
Watch Dunbar anticipate the slant here. See how he takes a couple steps inside expecting the break. Gives him the advantage as he jumps the route and gets the INT #Redskins pic.twitter.com/IcsTCF74aC

------
Washington unable to do anything with the new possession, three-and-out and punt.
------
Ryan Anderson had a beautiful outside rush, but led with his helmet. Instead of their fifth sack of the game, the Redskins get a penalty that moved Miami into Washington territory.
The drive ends with a successful Miami field goal attempt, good from 39 yards.
Washington 7, Miami 3
------
Washington doesn't press the issue with time winding down in the first half. They go into the locker room with a scoring advantage for the second time this season. Will it hold up?

Third Quarter
The Dolphins will start with the football after deferring the winning coin toss to start the game.
------
A three-and-out gives the ball immediately to Washington to start the second half.
More Adrian Peterson for Washington, including him over-ruling Keenum's audible to get a run for five yards.
Great shot by Fox here. Keenum didn't like the look so called "kill, kill". Behind him, Adrian Peterson told him to keep the run called, so Keenum then calls "reload, reload" and Peterson gets the ball handed off #Redskins pic.twitter.com/S7gBjvOqku

The drive continues from the Dolphins 32 and McLaurin simply races past everyone on the defense for his second score of the game. This time, he strikes out of the slot.
Slot fade from Terry McLaurin. Slot corner peels off to play underneath, outside corner can't sink back fast enough to stay on top of the route. Nice throw by Keenum for a 33-yard TD #Redskins pic.twitter.com/ix6lKH0KVQ

Washington 14, Miami 3
------
On the very next drive, Washington forces their second turnover of the game. This time, LB Shaun Dion-Hamilton comes up with another pick of Josh Rosen.
Shaun Dion Hamilton playing the role of the Mike 'backer in Tampa-2, dropping back to fill the middle of the field allowing the two deep safeties to split wider. Great job reading the route and breaking underneath for the INT. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/P5GdiZEAhJ

The Redskins weren't able to take full advantage of the turnover. despite a first-and-goal from the Dolphins' two-yard line, Washington was stuffed, including a Peterson fumble which he recovered. A third-down pass was stripped loose and Washington settles for a field goal.
Washington 17, Miami 3
------
Injury Update: Chris Thomspon hurt his foot on that third-down incompletion and is now questionable to return. (link)
Another sack for Washington snuffs out the Dolphins response drive.
------
Injury Update: RT Morgan Moses has been replaced by Gerod Christian.
Morgan Moses was very slow to get up off the turf after that play. He's being looked at by members of the training staff and coming off the field now.

Fourth Quarter
Washington misses a 55-yard field goal by Dustin Hopkins to start the new stanza, keeping the score at 17-3.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is in the game for the Dolphins. Josh Rosen leaves with just 85 passing yards and a 32.9 passer rating.
Short passes and great starting field position has Miami sauntering down the field and they are now inside the 20 yard line after an 18-yard completion to Mark Walton. Mike Gesicki runs a beautiful route, but Collins breaks up the TD pass in the end zone.
The Dolphins, thanks to a holding penalty on CB Josh Norman, get a few attempts from the two and Kalen Ballage barrels his way into the end zone.
It's the first Dolphins points of the second half in six games.
Washington 17, Miami 10
------
With nothing to lose, the Dolphins go for the onside kick, and recover, but they were clearly offside and the ball didn't go 10 yards before they touched it. Re-kick.
Injury Update: TE Jerome Cunningham is having his lower left leg looked at on the field.
The Dolphins defense and special teams forced two punts, the last returned to the Washington 40-yard line, but cannot do anything with their offensive possessions.
The Dolphins have to punt again, and this time down the ball at the Washington one-yard line. With five-minutes left, the Redskins have a chance to ice the game with a solid drive, but are pinned up against their own end zone.
------
On second down, Washington goes play action and there goes that man again. Terry McLaurin gets free on the right side for a huge 32-yard game. It gives him 100 receiving yards on the day and puts Washington in great position for their first win.
------
The Dolphins score on a blown coverage and go for two... but they don't get it.
Washington 17, Miami 16.
Game over. Redskins earn their first win of the season.
