'Brotherly Shove!' Dak Prescott Family Rips Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys, Praises Philadelphia Eagles Moves

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys "family'' is at it again.

On the heels of the infamous "Bro Bro Mama Drama'' that saw family members of Dallas Cowboys players CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott take shots at the way "America's Team'' operates, Dak's brother Tad has thrust himself back into the limelight with a hot take on the opening of NFL free agency.

As a reaction to the indisputable fact that the Cowboys spend Monday losing players and doing nothing while the chief NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles made a pair of blockbuster signings, Tad took yet another poke at the Jerry Jones-run Cowboys.

"So, if it wasn’t clear already, it is now. The Eagles have the best front office in the NFL. #howboutthemcowboys,'' Tad Prescott wrote on X.

Some have labeled this a "subtle jab.'' But Tad Prescott taking to social media to praise the Eagles front office is not "subtle.'' The next question is ... what it is designed to be beyond just the trashing of the team that employs his brother? What is the point? How does it help?

The Eagles signed running back Saquon Barkley to a massive three-year deal worth more than $37 million. They also stole young pass-rusher Bryce Huff from the Jets.

The Cowboys also lost their starting running back Tony Pollard to the Titans, and two other key helpers, defensive end Dorance Armstrong and Tyler Biadasz, are signing with the Commanders.

Maybe Tad is simply an unhappy Cowboys fan ... and that places him in the company of millions right now. At the same time, he knows his last name carries NFL weight (and not because of anything Tad himself has accomplished); the tweet from Monday afternoon already has over 250,000 views. ... and he knows that many in the audience will assume that his brother - who is in the final year of his contract, a controversial issue all its own - is having Tad represent Dak's own views.

That doesn't need to be true to be problematic, just as when Tad reacted to the Cowboys playoff loss by announcing that Tad would like to engineer his brother's exit from the Cowboys.

"Cowboy fans who continue to DM me,'' he wrote, "TRUST ME. If I could get Dak to leave Dallas, I would. I too want him out of Dallas.''

We've been plenty critical of all the things the Cowboys have said and not done, as we discuss in "Jerry's Ice Cream Lie'' in the Fish Report and the Fish Podcast. Does our view carry weight in Cowboys Nation? You can judge that.

Does Tad's view carry weight in the Prescott family? Tad's decision to insert himself into the news once again causes you to have to judge that, too.
