Former McCarthy WR Rips Cowboys Low Energy: 'That's Coaching!'

In this story:
FRISCO - Jerry Jones may not be panicked about the Dallas Cowboys' pathetic performance last weekend in Buffalo, but another Jones - one who played for Mike McCarthy for seven seasons - is sounding the alarms.
James Jones was a star receiver for the Green Bay Packers from 2007-13, catching passes from both Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, leading the NFL in touchdowns in 2012 in McCarthy's offense and winning a Super Bowl on the 2010 team. But while Jerry continues to laud his head coach for being the best part of his 10-4 team, James is instead seeing a troubling trend.
"This is concerning," Jones said on FS1 with Colin Cowherd Wednesday morning. "Where's the energy on the road? None. Players dead. Sideline dead. That's them coming off the bus not ready to play. That's coaching!"
While Cowherd lamented Dallas' specific performance in the 31-10 loss to the Bills, James reiterated that the lack of emotion wasn't a new problem but it could be a fatal one.
Jerry on 1st-Place Cowboys: No 'Bully Blueprint!'
"We think they're a good team," Cowherd said of the Cowboys. "But when we get a dud like that ... what are we supposed to make of it?"
Explained James, "I can understand getting out-schemed and Buffalo is a good team. But the Cowboys are going to have to go on the road in the playoffs and if they expect to win they'll have to bring their own energy. It's something we haven't seen them do yet this season. They were also flat against the Niners, and these are big-time games. They won't be playing the Carolina Panthers in the playoffs. You can't come out flat. It wasn't game-plan issues. They played the same defense and offense they've played all season. But the results were ... just no energy."
