FRISCO - Dez Bryant has earned the right to dream.

He spend his young lifetime growing up poor in Lufkin, when the fantasy of someday playing for the Dallas Cowboys was about all he had. And then? He lived the dream, becoming the Cowboys all-time touchdown reception leader.

And yes, he's like to re-live that dream.

"I'll tell you this," Dez said to celebrity gossip site TMZ. "If it was possible, of course, I'd be open to it if it was possible.''

Bryant, 32, is a dreamer but also a realist. As he said about Dallas, "I understand what they've got going on over there, and I think what they're doing is beautiful. I'm happy that they paid Dak (Prescott), that was very important.

"I'm a big chemistry guy, I'm not so much hyped on talent. I love what they've got going on."

Bryant was released by Dallas in April 2018, but made a full return to the NFL as a member of the Baltimore Ravens in 2020. He contributed six catches for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns over six regular-season games.

The three-time Pro Bowler recently used Twitter to addressed his NFL future, thanking the Ravens for his time there, but then moving on, saying he hopes to play another two seasons.

And because he is plugged into Dallas' situation - where the top three receiver slots are filled with Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup - he has another, maybe more realistic destination that he'd like to move on to.

"I think that would be dope being next to my boy D-Hop (DeAndre Hopkins), Christian Kirk and Kyler Murray," Bryant told TMZ, rattling of the names of the Arizona Cardinals receiving crew. "I think they have a dope offense. I feel like they got a dope defense. I think they got a dope coach ... If I had to choose, yeah, if that opportunity presented itself, I think I would take it."

As we have noted often before, this is all about Dez Bryant dreaming - about the Cowboys, about the Cardinals, whatever: And he's earned the right to dream.
