Cowboys 2023 NFL Draft: How Many Picks, Enough Roster Ammo?

In this story:
Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are currently slated to have seven picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, five original selections and two compensatory picks. Here's a full look at the draft capital that Dallas has at its disposal in 2023.
Round 1, Pick 26: The Miami Dolphins lost their first-round pick -- which would have been No. 21 overall -- as part of the penalties for tampering with Tom Brady and Sean Payton. That bumps Dallas' first round pick up from No. 27 to No. 26.
Round 2, Pick 58: The Cowboys will have the 27th overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Round 3, Pick 90: The Cowboys will have the 27th overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.
Round 4, Pick 129: The Cowboys will have the 27th overall pick in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.
Round 5, Pick 169: The Cowboys will have the 34th overall pick in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, a compensatory selection for when the team saw edge rusher Randy Gregory depart in free agency to the Denver Broncos last offseason.
Round 6, Pick 212: The Cowboys will have the 35th overall pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, another compensatory pick. This compensatory selection comes as the team's return for losing wide receiver Cedrick Wilson in free agency to the Dolphins after the 2022 season.
Round 7, Pick 244: The Cowboys will have the 27th overall pick in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
