FRISCO - As the Michael Irvin vs. Marriott Hotels $100 million lawsuit gets uglier and uglier, the hotel chain is hoping to end it sooner than later. Per The Athletic, Marriott has filed a motion to dismiss the case that Irvin filed just 18 days ago.

Marriott is claiming it does not own the property where Irvin's alleged wrongdoing took place - The Phoenix Hotel - but only "leases the brand" from the actual property owner.

In the paperwork filed by Marriott, we also get our first glimpse of the specific allegation made against the former Dallas Cowboys receiver and Hall of Famer.

Marriott claims Irvin made "harassing and inappropriate comments."

This seems far less than early reports that Irvin engaged in offensive physical touching or contact. It could also make the video Irvin requested less relevant since it most likely doesn't include audio.

The allegations, the week leading up to the Super Bowl, prompted NFL Network to pull Irvin from all programming that week.

Marriott is a long-time NFL sponsor, so that may have caused the network to act vigorously to remove Irvin as opposed to another entity that doesn't pay the NFL a ton of money each year.

Eventually, we'll find out if the allegations warranted Irvin's removal or if the network acted too quickly without proper evidence.
