Cowboys Announce Oxnard Training Camp Schedule, Open Practices

FRISCO - On Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys made official what we've already told you regarding the start of training camp ... and additionally, the team announced the full training camp schedule.
As you already know if you read CowboysSI.com, the team will report to Oxnard, California - a 17th visit to that SoCal part of "Cowboys Country'' and the 44th camp in Cali - on July 24. (We're traveling on July 23 so we'll be there when the team arrives.)
The first official practice is slated for July 26. ... with the annual Jerry Jones "State of the Cowboys'' ("Glory Hole'') press conference likely on the 24th. And yes, fans are able to attend all open practices and the workouts are free of charge.
The gates will open roughly two hours before the start of each workout session ... and of course the Cowboys create a sort of "amusement park'' atmosphere for visitors.
Here's the full schedule for the practices at the Residence Inn at River Ridge. All times are Pacific.

As for the preseason games? The Cowboys play against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, Aug. 12 in their first preseason game, and it is back home at AT&T Stadium, after which they will zip back to California for their remaining practices before jetting to Seattle for their second preseason game against the Seahawks on Aug. 19.
The team then returns home and plays a final preseason game in Arlington against the Raiders a week later. There will also be practices in August at The Star in Frisco that will be open to the public.
