Dolphins 2024 Mock Draft Projections

In this story:
The 2023 NFL draft ended only a few days ago, but that obviously hasn't stopped various national media outlets from starting to project what the 2024 first round might look like.
And that 2024 first round at this time actually includes the Miami Dolphins, who have been without a No. 1 pick since the 2021 draft as the result of major trades as well as the NFL sanctions for tampering with Tom Brady and Sean Payton.
The picking order of the early mock drafts — always presented as "way-too-early" — invariably is based on Super Bowl odds, which depending on the source has the Dolphins with a pick ranging from 22nd to 24th in the first round.
So here's a list of prospects linked to the Dolphins in those various way-too-early 2024 mock drafts, not so much as a prediction but rather as names to watch during the upcoming college football season. The prospects are followed by the analysis and the outlet making the projection.
IOL Cooper Beebe, Kansas
With experience playing every position along the line except center, Beebe is a versatile and polished pass protector who should be a quick study as a pro. That kind of stabilizing presence might go a long way toward repairing a Miami front that has been bedeviled by subpar play, especially on the interior. — USA Today (Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz)
LB Bralen Trice, Washington
The Dolphins had just four picks in the 2023 and look to get more help off the edge in a division that now has Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers. — CBS Sports (Ryan Wilson)
TE Ja'Tavion Sanders, Texas
The Dolphins spent a late-round pick in this year's draft on an intriguing wide receiver/tight end hybrid in Elijah Higgins, but that might not stop them from spending an early pick on another dynamic pass-catcher at the position. Sanders has tons of upside as a receiving threat. — Athlon Sports (Luke Easterling)
T Graham Barton, Duke
Barton was the only Power Five tackle who posted 85-plus grades as both a pass and run blocker last season. His 17 big-time blocks (PFF’s highest-graded blocks) were five more than any other tackle in the country. He’ll boost a Dolphins offensive line that needs to do everything it can to protect Tua Tagovailoa. — Pro Football Focus (Max Chadwick)

DE Michael Hall Jr., Ohio State
Hall is one of the top interior pass-rushers in the college game, primarily winning with a quick burst off the snap. We’ll need to see his Combine numbers (specifically weight and length) to know for certain how he’ll be viewed as a prospect. — Sharp Football Analysis (Warren Sharp)
QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington
Penix was very up and down during his time at Indiana (2018-21), but he looked like a new player after transferring to Washington. His 2022 tape and production (35 total touchdowns) make you sit up in your seat. If he can build upon last year and stay healthy, Penix has a chance to keep rising into the first-round range, especially considering the firepower the Huskies return on offense. — The Athletic (Dane Brugler)
This throw by Michael Penix Jr. is seriously absurd. A 30+ yard laser. On third and long. Are you kidding me?

G K.T. Leveston, Kansas State
Tua Tagovailoa can't stay healthy. The Dolphins need to improve their offensive line.K.T. Leveston is a tough run blocker with plus athleticism. — walterfootball.com (Walter Cherepinsky)
Other Prospects Mocked to the Dolphins
EDGE J.T. Tuimoloau, Ohio State (Touchdown Wire)
T Jordan Morgan, Arizona (The Draft Network)
IOL Connor Colby, Iowa (draftcountdown.com)
