From Bourbon Street to Broad Street, another New Orleans player has come marching into Philly.

The Eagles announced they have signed Saints defensive tackle Kentavius Street to a one-year deal.

Earlier in free agency, the Eagles signed former Saints safety Justin Davis and, of course, the Eagles acquired Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, now with the Lions, at the end of last August. Plus, Philadelphia owns the Saints’ first-round pick in April’s draft, 10th overall.

Street, who turns 27 in May, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers in 2018 from North Carolina State. He played a career-high 518 snaps (46%) last year and produced 3.5 sacks, eight QB hits, and five tackles for loss.

While at NC State, Street was highly productive. He played with Bradley Chubb and, in 35 starts, recorded 123 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks.

He probably would have been a Day 2 pick in the 2018 draft, but he suffered a torn ACL during a private pre-draft workout.

The Eagles needed depth at D-tackle, and his addition gives the Eagles a rotation now of Fletcher Cox, Jordan Davis, Milton Williams, and Marlon Tuipulotu.

Street’s signing fits with GM Howie Roseman’s philosophy of adding players at positions where more depth may be needed in order to prevent reaching for a player at a particular position in the draft.

Linebacker could still be a bit light despite the signing of Nicholas Morrow to help cover the losses in free agency of T.J. Edwards and Kyzir White.

The Eagles have yet to address the offensive line after losing Isaac Seumalo and Andre Dillard, though they did bring back reserve Brett Toth a day after cutting him.

Even defensive end could use another addition despite the return of Brandon Graham. It appears that Derek Barnett will return after missing all of last season with a torn ACL after signing a two-year contract.
