Eagles Drafting Bijan Robinson? A 'Scary' Sight for NFC Teams, Says Insider

NFC rivals are reportedly afraid of the Philadelphia Eagles taking superstar running back Bijan Robinson in the 2023 NFL Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles made it to Super Bowl LVII on the back of their incredible offense, and they hope to repeat in 2023. With a breakout star quarterback in Jalen Hurts, two star receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith and arguably the league's best offensive line, the Eagles have all the tools to dominate on offense.

That said, one area where Philadelphia could add to its offense is at running back. Miles Sanders, the Eagles' leading running back each year since 2019, left to sign with the Carolina Panthers in free agency. This leaves Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and free-agency pickup Rashaad Penny as their available running backs. A solid group, but lacking a true workhorse.

Fortunately for the Eagles, there's a superstar running back potentially waiting for them in the 2023 NFL Draft. That player is, of course, Texas Longhorns sensation Bijan Robinson. The Eagles and Robinson have been linked throughout the pre-draft process, with Robinson even publicly stating his desire to play with Hurts and co. All things considered, the Eagles and Robinson look like a dream pairing.

At the same time, that pairing would be a nightmare for opposing defenses. According to NFL Network's James Palmer, other NFC teams are dreading the idea of Robinson ending up in Philadelphia.

"I’ll just say this. A couple NFC teams I talked to this weekend DO NOT want the Eagles to draft Bijan Robinson," Palmer tweeted. "The thought of that offense with his addition is scary in their eyes."

In 2022, the Eagles ranked fifth in rushing offense and third in both total and scoring offense. With Robinson, they'd be adding arguably the best running back prospect the league has seen since Saquon Barkley in 2018. And they have a real chance to do so with the No. 10 overall pick, acquired from the New Orleans Saints in a trade last offseason.

The Eagles would absolutely love to see Robinson end up in Philadelphia, and their rivals would hate it equally as much.
