Copying Kelce: Would Eagles Jordans Mailata & Davis Be A Podcast Hit?

Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata wants to do a podcast, perhaps with defensive tackle Jordan Davis, though Davis will need convincing.
In this story:

PHILADELPHIA – There has to be something between the end of the Super Bowl and the start of the new league year and free agency on March 13, so, why not podcast season?

Sure, there’s the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis later this month, and that’s always an interesting font of information with prospects who could become Philadelphia Eagles in the draft and the scheduled media sessions with general managers and head coaches, which, of course, include the Eagles Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni.

It seems like so many NFL players have a podcast these days, including ‘New Heights,’ the popular one co-hosted by the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, so maybe every season is podcast season.

At least for those who have them and listen to them.

Starting one was something Jordan Mailata talked about before heading off on the honeymoon he never got to take after getting married last offseason.

Mailata saw all the boxes piled up in front of his teammate Jason Kelce’s locker and wondered, what if…

"All I know is whenever Jason Kelce started his podcast and started getting free (stuff), all this has been sitting here,” he said about the dozen or so unpacked boxes spilling into the walkway near Kelce’s locker.

Mailata looked at the scant few boxes in front of his locker and said, “This is all (stuff) I bought - like what the (bleep)? I'm doing it wrong. We'll see, I may start my own podcast. Maybe I'll start one with Jordan Davis and we'll talk offense and defense. Call it Jordan squared.”

Eagles Have Two Questions to Consider After Reddick Trade Request

Defensive tackle Jordan Davis was asked about the possibility, especially after he said one of the things he wanted to learn this offseason was how to play the piano.

“I would be interested, but not this year,” he said. “That’s something for later on.”

He was asked, 'Why not this year?'

“I don’t know,” Davis answered. “I don’t feel like it. I feel like a podcast would be cool, but I’m not really a podcast type. I have to take a little bit of time. I listen to podcasts, but I’m not (doing one). Maybe one day down the road, but I gotta make sure I get my ducks in a row. Once my ducks are in a row, I’ll think about it.”
