Eagles Predictions, Odds for Season: Wins, TDs, Team MVP

In this story:
PHILADELPHIA – The 17-game journey for the Philadelphia Eagles begins Sunday against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
Here are some predictions along with some odds courtesy of BetOnline.ag:
OFFENSE
LEADING RUSHER: Jalen Hurts. It wouldn’t be the first time the Eagles quarterback led the team in rushing. His 784 yards two seasons ago were more than anyone. He had 760 last year but was bested by the marvelous season Miles Sanders had with 1,269.
Prediction: 815
Over/under: 725.5
MVP odds: 7-1
Offensive Player of the Year odds: 22-1
LEADING RECEIVER: Something tells me it will be DeVonta Smith, even though A.J. Brown had 300 more yards in the air last year than Smith did. Remember, Smith was held without a reception in the season opener in Detroit a year ago.
Prediction: 1,365
Over/under receiving yards for Brown: 1,100.5
Over/under receiving yards for Smith: 975.5
MOST TOUCHDOWNS: Jalen Hurts. Again. The quarterback ran for 13 last year. There's no reason to think he will have fewer than that.
Prediction: 13
Over/under Hurts rushing TDs: 10.5
HURTS PASSING YARDS: The Eagles have still had only one quarterback top 4,000 yards and that was Carson Wentz, though Donovan McNabb would have done in the 2004 Super Bowl season but sat out the final game because the Eagles had nothing to play for, and finished with 3,875.
Prediction: 4,015
Over/under passing yards: 3,650.5
HURTS PASSING TDs: He had 22 last year. My guess is he gets more.
Prediction: 25
Over/under passing TDs: 21.5
FIRST TOUCHDOWN OF SEASON: DeVonta Smith. He got the first one two years ago in the opener at Atlanta. Though Hurts got the first one last year in Detroit on a 1-yard TD, I want to give someone else a chance at it.
OTHER ODDS FOR OFFENSE
Over/under Hurts interceptions: 8.5
Over/under Brown touchdowns: 7.5
Over/under Smith touchdowns: 6.5
Over/under Dallas Goedert receiving yards: 675.5
Over/under D’Andre Swift rushing and receiving yards: 850.5
Over/under Swift rushing and receiving TDs: 6.5
Offensive Player of the Year Odds
Jalen Hurts: 22-1
AJ Brown: 40-1
Rashaad Penny: 75-1
DeVonta Smith: 100-1
DEFENSE
MOST SACKS: Josh Sweat. Yeah, I’m all in on a player who looks like he feels more comfortable this year and had a terrific summer.
Prediction: 15
Over/under Sweat sacks: 7.5
JALEN CARTER SACKS: 6
JORDAN DAVIS SACKS: 3
NOLAN SMITH SACKS: 4
MOST INTERCEPTIONS: Reed Blankenship. The second-year safety picked Aaron Rodges in his first extended game action last year and made life miserable for Cleveland Brown QB Deshaun Watson during two joint practices, making three picks.
Prediction: 4
MOST TACKLES: Temptation is to take Nakobe Dean, but I’m not convinced he will hold up for all 17. So, I’m going with Blankenship.
Prediction: 102
OTHER ODDS FOR DEFENSE
Defensive Player of the Year
Haason Reddick: 40-1
Darius Slay: 150-1
Defensive Rookie of the Year
Jalen Carter: 6-1
Nolan Smith: 12-1
Kelee Ringo: 33-1
Over/under Haason Reddick sacks: 11.5
Over/under Darius Slay interceptions: 2.5
Over/under James Bradberry interceptions: 2.5
OTHER ODDS OF NOTE
Super Bowl: 8-1
Regular season wins: 11.5
Coach of the year: Nick Sirianni, 8-1
