Falcons Coach on Mack Hollins: 'Winner in My Book!'

Mack Hollins has drawn praise from Atlanta Falcons coach T.J. Yates.

The Atlanta Falcons are hoping for someone to emerge as a strong No. 2 receiver option opposite Drake London.

In training camp, veteran Mack Hollins has emerged as the clubhouse leader for that role.

When asked about Hollins, receivers coach T.J. Yates flashed a big smile that seemed filled with joy and relief before dishing significant praise towards the 29-year-old wideout.

"Mack has been an unbelievable addition to our room," Yates said. "From the leadership standpoint, he has really taken hold of that room, and everybody kind of follows him - him and Drake are really the ones that lead the charge every single day."

Hollins came into the league as a fourth-round pick out of North Carolina, and immediately found success. He won a Super Bowl in his rookie year with the Philadelphia Eagles, and has been part of winning football in his other stops.

"He's experienced, he's been in the league a long time, he's been on multiple teams, and really everywhere he's gone, that team has somehow ended up winning," Yates said. "He's a winner in my book. Not only the intangible stuff, but physically, as you can see, he looks like a tight end out there and brings a physical mindset to our room. It's been a pleasure to have him so far."

Hollins went from simply being a part of great receiver rooms to a key contributor in them. Last year with the Las Vegas Raiders, Hollins had a career year, catching 57 passes for 690 yards and four touchdowns.

Now, Hollins looks to take his winning DNA and his contributions and infuse them into a victorious combination with the Falcons.
