Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Where's Falcons Rookie Bijan Robinson?

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson could be one of the first players off the board in fantasy football drafts this year.

The Atlanta Falcons are expected to play a key role in many fantasy football leagues in 2023.

While the Falcons are focused on reality and trying to win their first NFC South title since 2016, Atlanta's skill players will have an impact in the fantasy football world. Arguably the most notable is rookie running back Bijan Robinson.

Robinson, 21, was the No. 8 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. He also was taken with the eighth pick in Sports Illustrated's fantasy mock draft.

"I began my build with Robinson, who is locked in as a first-rounder in most mocks and best-ball leagues," fantasy expert Michael Fabiano writes.

The players taken before Robinson were Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings), Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers), Austin Ekeler (Los Angeles Chargers), Cooper Kupp (Los Angeles Rams), Ja'Marr Chase (Cincinnati Bengals), Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts) and Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins). This means that Robinson is the fourth running back off the board.

Robinson is expected to play a massive role in the Falcons offense this season. In 2022 with the Texas Longhorns, Robinson earned unanimous All-American honors after running for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging over six yards per carry. He was also a threat in the passing game, hauling in 19 passes for 314 yards and two scores.

Other Falcons taken in the 12-team mock draft were Drake London (Round 4), Kyle Pitts (Round 5), Cordarrelle Patterson (Round 10) and Tyler Allgeier (Round 12). However, if Robinson plays like he did in college with the Falcons, he should be Atlanta's most valuable fantasy football player this season.
