Giants Fall Again in Latest MMQB Power Rankings

In this story:
As the losses pile up for the New York Giants, their grip on a steady placement in the weekly MMQB power ranking poll slips even further.
The Giants (5-10), who were No. 25 last week following their loss to the New Orleans Saints, fell one more spot this week to No. 26 despite actually making a game of it against a Philadelphia Eagles team that has now won 11 straight against their NFC East foes on the hallowed grounds of Lincoln Financial Field.
The Giants, who have home games remaining against the Rams this week and the Eagles the following week, were mathematically eliminated from the playoff race on Christmas day (bah humbug!) and now have much of the fan base and media, including MMQB's Conor Orr, wondering what the off-season holds in store for this very disappointing franchise.
The Giants are now on pace to select No. 5 in the NFL draft. I wonder if they would take the highest-drafted receiver the franchise has selected since Odell Beckham. This team needs a lot of help, but I feel like they also may be a playmaker away from consistently being able to clip the Cowboys and Eagles every so often.
Although fans and media have begun to wonder if the Giants might be in a position to grab WR Marvin Harrison, Jr., or perhaps even one of the top quarterbacks (Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, or Jayden Daniels), Giants head coach Brian Daboll is insisting the team stay locked in on what's immediately in front of them, which is preparing for the Rams, a team fighting for its playoff lives.
Daboll, who as of Wednesday morning hadn't announced who the starting quarterback against the Rams will be, is no doubt looking for a spark, just as he was after the first half of the game against the Eagles. Taylor didn't exactly light it up, but he did show an ability to move the ball better than DeVito, so it wouldn't be surprising if Taylor gets the nod against the Rams on Sunday.
