Jaguars vs. Titans: Week 11 Staff Predictions

The Jacksonville Jaguars need a bounce-back week maybe more than any other team in Week 11.
Just six days removed from the worst loss of the Doug Pederson era, the Jaguars' can bury the 34-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and move on to an AFC South foe this week in the struggling Tennessee Titans.
So how does the Jaguar Report staff see Week 11? We break it down below.
John Shipley
Prediction: Anything can happen in the NFL, but I do think this is a week you see the Jaguars get back in the win column. I do not have enough confidence in the offense to put together a complete game due to issues with the offensive line and, at times, the play-calling and the scheme. Add in Tennessee's tough defensive front and I just see this as a low-scoring affair.
Defensively, though, I am not sure the Jaguars could ask for a better matchup. Will Levis has been turnover-prone and takes more shots than any other starting quarterback in the NFL right now, which bodes well for the Jaguars due to their ability to create takeaways. The Titans also have arguably the worst offensive tackle depth chart in the NFL, so I expect big games from Josh Allen and an improving Travon Walker.
Jaguars 20, Titans 16.
Daniel Griffis
Prediction: How quickly the narrative can change in the NFL. It very much is a “What have you done for me lately?,” league. Last week, simply put, the Jaguars laid an egg at home against one of the better teams in the league. Now the team finds itself in a face off against its greatest rival, the 3-6 Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars are in need of an offensive reset and I think they get back on track with Trevor Lawrence at the helm. I expect Calvin Ridley to have a huge game and some takeaways off of rookie QB Will Levis.
Jaguars 31, Titans 13.
Zach Schultz
Prediction: After an embarrassing loss to the 49ers I expect the Jaguars to get back on track. The Titans aren’t a great team this year and they are less by a rookie quarterback. These are the types of matchups this Jaguars team is set to feast on. With that said, I still think this game stays interesting into the 4th quarter. The Titans have stopped the run well this year and if they can limit Etienne’s effectiveness they have a chance.
Their biggest issue is that it then puts the pressure on a poor secondary that is without Sean Murphy-Bunting this week. For the Jaguars defense I’m not too concerned with them. I think as long as they can limit Derrick Henry’s production to even a modest day they have a great chance at forcing Will Levis into some tough situations. Overall I think the Jaguars play with enough fire underneath them to get the win. I’m looking for Trevor to look better against a bad secondary, Josh Allen to have a big day, and the defense to create a turnover or two.
Jaguars 23, Titans 15.
Kyle Nash
Prediction: With the big loss to the 49ers and the news on Zay Jones during the week, the morale among the Duval Devout has certainly been impacted. Fans all over social media and national pundits on TV are all enflamed about whether Trevor Lawrence is a single-read quarterback among other failings of the offense in 2023.
In truth, this game is about the Jaguars defense. Will they slow Derrick Henry once more, and will they stop Will Levis when he tries to cash in on a lottery ticket play-action long ball. I think the answer to both of these questions is yes because of the Titans O-Line.
Jaguars 27, Titans 18.
Evan Reier
Prediction: Jaguars need to bounce back, and fortunately the Titans are a team they can do that against. The Jacksonville defense ought to be able to pressure Titans QB Will Levis into mistakes and the offense should score a couple of touchdowns even if the mistakes continue. Don't think it will be a complete turnaround, but think the Jaguars win this game by 2-3 scores.
Jaguars 27, Titans 13.
