NFL Trade Deadline Tracker: What Moves Do the Jaguars and Other Teams Make?

The NFL Trade Deadline is here.
Deadlines always ignite action and decisions in the NFL, and the trade deadline is perhaps the top example of this. Last year's deadline saw double-digit trades, including Calvin Ridley being dealt right near the 4 p.m. deadline.
“You look and see if there’s a player that could help you, I don’t think you go searching just to search for anybody. You got to make sure it’s the right fit," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said on Monday.
"Somebody that can add value and a piece that you’re maybe missing. We are getting some guys healthy and back too, so that plays a factor in it here in the next few weeks. We’ll take a look and if it’s a no-brainer, you pull the trigger, if not, you move on with guys you have because they’re the ones that got you here.”
The Jaguars have nine picks in the 2023 NFL Draft and could also earn up to four compensatory picks after teams signed away Jawaan Taylor, Arden Key, Chris Manhertz, and Marvin Jones Jr. this offseason. The Jaguars own a pick in each of the seven rounds, plus extra picks in the fourth and sixth rounds via the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers.
In an effort to keep up with the trade deadline and other storylines around the NFL, here is a running tracker of moves that can be connected to the Jaguars and their needs.
Montez Sweat traded to the Bears
The Chicago Bears traded a 2024 second-round pick to the Washington Commanders for EDGE Montez Sweat, likely setting a ceiling and floor for pass-rusher trades on Tuesday. According to team sources, the Jaguars were not in any active conversations for Sweat.
Trade: Commanders and Bears have agreed to a trade that is expected to send DE Montez Sweat to the Chicago for a 2024 second-round pick, per sources. Sweat is in the last year of his contract, and the Commanders are opting for a draft pick now. Chicago beefs up its line. pic.twitter.com/Hd7jtqDtWY

Danielle Hunter unlikely to be traded
It has seemed unlikely for the last two to three weeks that the Minnesota Vikings would trade pass-rusher Danielle Hunter, who the Jaguars have been connected to for the last several months. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, there is "almost no chance" of the Vikings dealing Hunter.

Commanders taking calls on Chase Young
The Commanders might not be done on Tuesday. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Commanders are taking calls and listening to offers for former top draft pick Chase Young.
Sources: The #Commanders may not be done... They are now taking calls on former No. 2 pick Chase Young. Could they trade both Montez Sweat and Young?

Patriots open to trading Josh Uche
Per sources, Patriots would be open to dealing DE Josh Uche and have had some talks with teams. He's 25 and on expiring rookie deal. Teams that missed out on Sweat could pivot there. Some have concerns about his health, but it doesn't sound like he's dealing with anything major.

Potentially good news for the Jaguars is that the Patriots are open to trading fourth-year pass-rusher Josh Uche, who had 11.5 sacks last year and is one of the best designated pass-rushers in the NFL today.
Jaguars trade for Ezra Cleveland
The Jaguars have traded for Vikings left guard Ezra Cleveland, dealing a sixth-round pick in exchange for a likely starting LG.
