NFL Waiver Wire: Jaguars Make 0 Claims, Have 0 Players Poached

The Jacksonville Jaguars saw the waiver wire period come and go without a sound on Wednesday, with the Jaguars claiming zero players and all players who were waived by the Jaguars going unclaimed.
The Jaguars waived 26 players during roster cut-down day on Tuesday, which meant all 26 players were subject to waivers and could have been claimed by any team.
Since none of the players were claimed, they are now free agents and can be signed to Jacksonville's practice squad, another team's practice squad, or another team's active roster.
Below are the 26 players who Jacksonville waived:
- LS Tucker Addington
- RB Snoop Conner
- OL Coy Cronk
- DL De’Shaan Dixon
- CB Erick Hallett II
- WR Jacob Harris
- LB Dequan Jackson
- CB Kaleb Hayes
- OL Samuel Jackson
- WR Oliver Martin
- K James McCourt
- TE Gerrit Prince
- WR Kendric Pryor
- TE Josh Pederson
- TE Derek Parish
- S Ayo Oyelola
- CB Divaad Wilson
- WR Seth Williams
- OL Darryl Williams
- DL Raymond Vohasek
- OLB Willie Taylor III
- OLB Jordan Smith
- QB Nathan Rourke
- OLB D.J. Coleman
- S Latavious Brini
- WR Kevin Austin Jr.
Since the Jaguars were sitting at No. 24 in the waiver wire order, they were never a contender to be active on the waiver wire. It is a mild surprise that no Jaguars were claimed, however, with the likes of Jacob Harris, Seth Williams, Jordan Smith, and Gerrit Prince all deserving of interest from other teams.
“A little bit of both, it’s two-fold. You’re cutting your roster down and you’re getting to the 53. Then, the 17 with Ayo and the practice squad players," Jaguars Doug Pederson said on Monday to describe this week.
"You don’t want to go backwards; you don’t want to not push from a practice standpoint and all that. Yes, it is a way to recharge and you don’t have the intensity of practicing and getting ready for a game this week, but at the same time, I want to maintain the sense of urgency as we head into the first week of the regular season.”
