Jaguars Offense Still Has Steps to Take in 2026

When we talk about NFL offenses going into next season, you have to put the Jacksonville Jaguars offense in those conversations.

Last season, the Jaguars had one of the top offenses in the league. Under first-year head coach Liam Coen, the Jaguars' offense took a huge step up from what we have seen from the Jaguars offense in the past. That is one of the huge reasons why the Jaguars were huge on Coen last offseason, and he proved he was the right head coach for the job.

Coen brought in a great offensive coordinator as well, in Grant Udinksi. Udinksi does not get talked about enough in the success of the offense that he had last season. Coen and Udinski worked on the offense a lot last season and were looking at all the different ways they could make it better all last season.

Jaguars Offense Looking to Take the Next Step

Even when the Jaguars' offense was on fire, they wanted it to be unstoppable. Going into next season, that is what these two are looking to do once again and cause chaos for all the defense they face.

Next season, the Jaguars will have good offensive weapons once again, and they have everything they need to be one of the best offenses once again, but they are looking to be the best. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be looking to improve from the best season of his career and will be looking to be the MVP next season. ,

Lawrence was part of the MVP conversation last season. Under Coen and Udinski, Lawrence was a whole different quarterback. Lawrence looked like he had finally found his stride. Lawrence wants more next year and wants to lead the Jaguars to a deep run.

As the Jaguars look to be better on offense next season, there is one thing they could take from Coen's old team and put into their offense: going with 13 personnel.

“Man, Sean [McVay] started something. He's a tight end guy who made 13 personnel 11 and 11 into 13. He's been doing it for years," said Liam Coen. Yeah, I think that it's going to force defenses to have more base defensive calls, to have heavier personnel grouping calls. But what it does is, if you don't have a big nickel or another sub package, you're going to get personnel’d to death."

The Jaguars have the tight ends to do it and a head coach who is familiar with the personnel group. That is something that we will likely yo see next season.
