Trevor Lawrence is curiously not a top-10 quarterback in this week's NFL.com's rankings despite one of the best games of his career.

Trevor Lawrence is fresh off one of the best performances of his career. Has the rest of the NFL noticed?

Lawrence completed 23 passes on 30 attempts for 207 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-20 win over the Buffalo Bills, with a 105.8 rating. Lawrence rushed for 42 yards including a 22-yard rush, which was the third longest rush in his career.

Lawrence made several big throws under duress and was 9-of-10 on third downs, with his lone incompletion coming on a Zay Jones drop.

“There’s always going to be adjustments you make every week. You’re going to see things that you didn’t do well, that you did do well, that you’re going to pair that with the gameplan for the next opponent and what you think will work against that team. Of course, there’s some changes, but I would be lying if I said we just changed a lot of things," Lawrence said this week. "It was just that we did our stuff better. I think you look at both of the games, they still weren’t even close to perfect. That’s not what this game is about, it’s about just making the plays at the right time and playing the next play even if you’ve had a couple of bad plays or you’re not on track. Just continuing to play the next play and I think in the last two weeks we’ve played really complementary, that’s something that we weren’t doing the first three weeks.

"At least in Week 2 or 3 of the season, we weren’t doing that. That’s something that also has helped us too, when the defense gets a stop, we go score and get points off of it. If we’re backed up, we get out of the situation and either flip the field or we go on a long drive and get points. I think that’s something that we’ve done a better job of, instead all of us being off at the same time, we’re covering for each other at times when we need to and when we have a big play on one side of the ball, we’re capitalizing on the other side of the ball. That’s a big part of this game too.”

So, where does Lawrence rank in NFL.com's weekly quarterback index?

Lawrence has played better than the numbers have indicated. Sometimes, his teammates drop the ball, both literally and figuratively. And sometimes, Lawrence hasn’t trusted his eyes and his progressions enough to make the right throw. But finally, in Week 5, all parties started to make progress. A perfect example came in his first-quarter touchdown pass, when Lawrence scanned from left to right before delivering a rocket to Zay Jones in the back of the end zone. His stat line (25 of 37, 315 yards, one touchdown) also backs it up. Now, he and the Jaguars just need to do it more consistently. If they're able to do that, he’ll move up these rankings before long.

Here is where we will track Lawrence's rank in the QB Index each week:

Week 1: 7

Week 2: 5

Week 3: 6

Week 4: 11

Week 5: 18

Week 6: 11
