The Jacksonville Jaguars have long known that it was only a matter of time until Trevor Lawrence arrived. In Week 5, he did that and then some by having arguably one of the best games he's ever played in a 25-20 win over the Buffalo Bills.

For ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky, Lawrence's performance overseas was indeed the best he has seen the 2021 No. 1 overall pick play. Considering last year's playoff run in which Lawrence was one of the most productive and efficient quarterbacks in the NFL.

"I think it might be the best game I've seen him play," Orlovsky said this week on 'Get Up'. "And specifically on third down and when he's getting hit. That play in the red zone, takes a shot, throws it high to Zay Jones, fantastic. He gets pressure again, drifts away, throws this stop route to Calvin Ridley.

"This might be the throw of his career in my opinion. Third down late in the game, he gets all out pressure. 1,2,3,4, throws that inside slot fade. You cannot throw a ball better than that right there. Unbelievable performance for Trevor Lawrence. Been waiting for it, want to see it to propel for the rest of the season."

Lawrence completed 23 passes on 30 attempts for 207 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-20 win over the Buffalo Bills, with a 105.8 rating. Lawrence rushed for 42 yards including a 22-yard rush, which was the third longest rush in his career.

"Some of the third down throws to Calvin [Ridley] and to Christian [Kirk], from a quarterback’s perspective, hanging in there against a really good pass rush, even getting hit after he delivered the football and delivering it accurately to keep us on the field, he made some outstanding throws with guys in his face," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said this week.

"Trevor played really well yesterday, he played tough, he played physical, he played smart to check a route and a big third down there towards the end of the game with the completion to Calvin. He did everything that we expect Trevor to do and we need to carry that over.”
