Jaguars Rookie Review: Updates on Each 2023 Draft Pick After Week 6 Win Over Colts

The Jacksonville Jaguars are fresh off a huge AFC South victory, taking down the Indianapolis Colts 37-20 to take first place in the division.
What did we see from each of the Jaguars' 13 draft picks and their top undrafted free agent in the win? We break it down below.
1st, No. 27: OT Anton Harrison, Oklahoma
Another week, another strong showing for Jaguars right tackle Anton Harrison. Harrison had one of his most efficient performances of his young career, allowing zero pressures on 37 pass-protection snaps. Harrison also had a strong showing as a run-blocker and in space, helping spring Brenton Strange's near-touchdown on the Jaguars' first drive.
“Honestly, everything physically you could have, he checks every box. I think he’s just getting more comfortable and just getting more used to NFL football," Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson said this week about Harrison.
"I think everything with Ton will just be reps. The more reps he gets, the better and better he’ll get. Physically, he’s God-given. As long as he can stay on top of his stuff mentally and just keep getting better the way he has, I think the sky’s the limit for him.”
2nd, No. 61: TE Brenton Strange, Penn State
Week 6 was by far the best game of Brenton Strange's young career, with the rookie tight end catching his first touchdown pass and recording two catches for 27 yards. The only other game this year that he recorded a catch was a two-catch, seven-yard performance in Week 3. Strange showed solid yards after catch ability on his first catch of the day and also played a career-high in snaps and snap %, playing 53% of the snaps after averaging 31.2% of the snaps during his first five games.
"More organically happened. Every week we've got opportunities for him to catch the football," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said. "It just happened this week was the week. It's nothing that we schemed up specifically for him. There are plays that have been in each week and we finally were able to get to them."
3rd, No. 88: RB Tank Bigsby, Auburn
Tank Bigsby saw his snap count increase some, but he still touched the ball just four times on a day where Travis Etienne touched the ball 21 times, including 18 carries. It doesn't appear that the Jaguars are willing to take many touches away from Etienne right now considering he is playing some of the best football of his career.
"Yeah, he hasn’t shown us he can’t at this point in time. Obviously, we like to spread the wealth and we like to continue with the hot hand, whatever that may be; pass game, run game," offensive coordinator Press Taylor said this week about Etienne and his workload.
"He’s been a guy that is obviously a gamebreaker for us. He’s been able to come through in those situations when we continue to give him the football. He has opportunities and he finds opportunities, he creates his own opportunities at times. We want to continue to give the ball to our best players at all times.”
4th, No. 121: LB Ventrell Miller, Florida
Ventrell Miller is on injured reserve and is not on the active roster.
4th, No. 130: DL Tyler Lacy, Oklahoma State
It was a quiet day for rotational defensive lineman Tyler Lacy. He played 10 snaps, getting seven chances to rush the passer but recording zero pressures. Lacy has not recorded a pressure on 27 pass-rush snaps this season.
5th, No. 136: EDGE/LB Yasir Abdullah, Louisville
Yasir Abdullah was a healthy scratch in Week 6.
5th, No. 160: DB Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M
Antonio Johnson played just two defensive snaps vs. the Colts, instead playing mostly special teams. When the Jaguars go with their dime package, it looks like Johnson hits the field -- they just didn't do it much this week.
6th, No. 185: WR Parker Washington, Penn State
Parker Washington is on injured reserve and was not active for Week 6.
6th, No. 202: CB Christian Braswell, Rutgers
Christian Braswell is on injured reserve and was not active for Week 6.
6th, No. 208: S Erick Hallett II, Pittsburgh
Erick Hallett is on the practice squad and was not active for Week 6.
7th, No. 226: OL Cooper Hodges, App. State
Cooper Hodges is on injured reserve and is not on the active roster.
7th, No. 227: DL Raymond Vohasek, UNC
Raymond Vohasek is not on the Jaguars' active roster or practice squad.
7th, No. 240: FB Derek Parish, Houston
Derek Parish was on the practice squad and was not active for Week 6.
UDFA: WR Elijah Cooks
Elijah Cooks played 10 snaps in his NFL debut, though seven of those snaps came on running plays, meaning he officially ran three routes in his debut.
