Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence Has Pre-Camp Throwing Session With Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has made it a consistent theme of his NFL career to have pre-training camp tune-ups with his wide receivers.
From throwing to DJ Chark, Laviska Shenault and Marvin Jones at Clemson in 2021 to taking to wideouts and tight ends to the Bahamas in 2022, Lawrence and his receivers are known for putting extra work in.
This trend continued this year, too, with Lawrence being seen throwing to Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk at Saguaro High School in Scottsdale. Kirk attended Saguaro and is a Scottsdale native.

Kirk and Ridley have worked out with each other quite a bit this offseason, with the two working out earlier in the week alongside DeAndre Hopkins and Deebo Samuel. For Lawrence, it was another piece of evidence of him and Ridley getting on the same page, something Lawrence and Kirk accomplished last year.
Kirk, who the Jaguars signed to a four-year, $72 million deal with $37 million guaranteed last March, was everything the Jaguars could have asked for in 2022 during a career year.
Kirk finished with career highs in yards (1,108), catches (84), and touchdowns (8) while also catching 15 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the playoffs. Kirk finished tied for 18th in catches, 14th in receiving yards, and tied for 11th in touchdown catches.
As for Ridley, he made a big impression on the Jaguars' locker room and coaching staff during the offseason program after the Jaguars traded for the former Atlanta Falcons star last November.
"He’s been awesome. He’s hungry. He’s excited to be here. He’s got the right attitude. I think that’s the biggest thing that I’ve noticed, then on the field, he’s a freak, just the way he runs routes, how explosive he is. He has great hands, seems like he’s picking stuff up," Lawrence said in April shortly after the offseason program starter.
"Obviously, we just started, but it seems like he’s picking it up pretty quickly. He has the experience, he’s played for a few years, so he’s used to having some new systems, and some stuff carries over through offenses. He’s been great. I’m just excited to have him be part of our room. It seems like he’s really gelling with the guys great. It’s not the hardest group to gel with. Christian (Kirk) and Zay (Jones), all those guys are awesome. I think they treat guys well, and they’ve brought him in. it’s going really well. He seems super hungry and ready to go.”
