Jaguars vs. Colts: Week 6 Snap Count Analysis

While watching a game live can give you one impression of a player's usage, looking at the actual amount of snaps they played compared to their teammates can also give insight into the team's strategy and outlook.
When looking at the snap counts for the Jacksonville Jaguars after their 37-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, it is clear to see what kind of plan the Jaguars went into the game with, and what limitations they had from a personnel standpoint.
Who played a lot, and why? Did the snaps mean anything or nothing? We examine below:
Offense (64 snaps)
- LT Cam Robinson: 64 (100%)
- LG Tyler Shatley: 64 (100%)
- C Luke Fortner: 64 (100%)
- RT Anton Harrison: 64 (100%)
- QB Trevor Lawrence: 61 (95%)
- WR Calvin Ridley: 51 (80%)
- RB Travis Etienne: 51 (80%)
- TE Evan Engram: 48 (75%)
- WR Christian Kirk: 45 (70%)
- RG Blake Hance: 41 (64%)
- TE Brenton Strange: 34 (53%)
- TE Luke Farrell: 29 (45%)
- RG Brandon Scherff: 23 (36%)
- WR Jamal Agnew: 20 (31%)

- WR Tim Jones: 13 (20%)
- WR Elijah Cooks: 10 (16%)
- CB C.J. Beathard: 3 (5%)
- RB D'Ernest Johnson: 2 (3%)
- The Jaguars turned to their second backup offensive lineman on Sunday, with Blake Hance playing 41 snaps at right guard after Brandon Scherff's ankle injury. Hance has now filled in at both RG and LT for the Jaguars in spots.
- Brenton Strange out-snapped Luke Farrell for the first time this season. He had his best game as a pro, catching two passes for 27 yards and his first NFL touchdown.
- The Jaguars didn't go with many three-receiver sets against the Colts, replacing the injured Zay Jones with plenty of 12 and 13-personnel looks. Tim Jones and Elijah Cooks combined for 23 snaps but neither saw a target.
- Tank Bigsby got four touches on 17 snaps, but Sunday actually marked the most snaps and highest snap % he has seen this season.
Defense (78 snaps)
- SS Rayshawn Jenkins: 78 (100%)
- LB Foysade Oluokun: 78 (100%)
- CB Darious Williams: 78 (100%)
- LB Devin Lloyd: 76 (97%)
- FS Andre Cisco: 73 (94%)
- OLB Josh Allen: 66 (85%)
- OLB Travon Walker: 63 (81%)
- CB Montaric Brown: 54 (69%)
- DL Roy Robertson-Harris: 46 (59%)
- CB Tre Herndon: 40 (51%)
- DL Adam Gotsis: 34 (44%)
- DL Foley Fatukasi: 34 (44%)
- DL Dawuane Smoot: 32 (41%)
- DL Jeremiah Ledbetter: 25 (32%)
- CB Tyson Campbell: 24 (31%)
- DL Angelo Blackson: 23 (29%)
- OLB K'Lavon Chaisson: 17 (22%)
- DL Tyler Lacy: 10 (13%)
- FS Andrew Wingard: 5 (6%)
- SS Antonio Johnson: 2 (3%)
- Devin Lloyd made his return after a two-week absence due to a thumb injury, playing nearly every snap and recording nine tackles and two pass breakups.
- The Jaguars have some cornerback issues. They only had four active on Sunday, and Tyson Campbell left early with a hamstring injury. Montaric Brown replaced him and gave up two different completions of 40 or more yards. Gregory Junior and Christian Braswell are both on injured reserve, too.
- Dawuane Smoot didn't seem limited at all in his first game back from an Achilles injury, playing 41% of the snaps and recording two tackles.
