New Jaguars over/under prop totals released

Which Jaguars' props do you think are safe bets, and which look like fools gold?

Brand new over/under prop bets were released for the Jacksonville Jaguars 2019 season courtesy of BetOnline at https://www.betonline.ag/. Some of these bets seem like easy calls based on what we have seen from the team during training camp and the preseason, while others are more up in the air. 

Nick Foles over/under: 3,500 yards, 21.5 touchdowns, 10.5 interceptions

The Foles numbers do not seem too far off, but it would not be surprising to see him hit the over in all three areas. He has a penchant for trying for the big play, which could result in higher yards, touchdown and interception totals. The smart move would probably to pick the over on touchdowns and interceptions, though the yards figure might be close. 

Jalen Ramsey over/under: three interceptions

Ramsey has totaled three interceptions or more in each season since his rookie season, totaling seven interceptions the last two seasons. Known for being a lockdown corner who prevents targets more so than an opportunistic ballhawk, it is hard to confidently say Ramsey will ever amass large interception totals.

But, with that said, Ramsey has the physical tools that make interceptions almost otherworldy easy for him at times. And like in 2017 when he got a career-high four interceptions, the Jaguars are likely to have a ferocious pass rush in front of Ramsey that could force poor decisions thrown his way. Take the over here, but be cautious.

Leonard Fournette over/under: 950 rushing yards, nine total touchdowns 

It is always hard to gauge Fournette's projected numbers because you never know how many games he is going to play. But going off the information we have now, which is that he appears to be in good physical shape and is healthy heading into the season, it feels wise to bet the over on the touchdown total at the very least. 

Fournette scored six touchdowns in only eight games last season and should be a focus in the run and pass game this season, if healthy. If he can play double-digit games, he should be able to surpass those projections. 

Dede Westbrook over/under: 725 receiving yards, five touchdowns 

Westbrook played on probably the worst passing offense in the NFL last season and he still racked up 717 yards and five touchdowns. Just projecting Foles to be a marginal upgrade over Blake Bortles would bump Westbrook over those numbers, and Westbrook's heavy usage against the Miami Dolphins last week shows he will be a focal point of this offense. Pound the overs. 

Calais Campbell over/under: 10.5 sacks

32-years old and heading into his 12th NFL season, Campbell has shown no signs of slowing down the past two seasons. He has amassed 25 sacks in his two seasons as a Jaguar, with 10.5 coming during last year's disaster year. And even though the Jaguars added rookie defensive end Josh Allen with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Campbell is still going to play a plethora of snaps. 

The addition of Allen should not take away from Campbell's projection either, because the subtraction of Malik Jackson should give Campbell more chances to rush the quarterback from defensive tackle. 10.5 sacks is no easy task, though, making this a coin flip. 

Yannick Ngakoue over/under: 9.5 sacks

Entering his fourth season, Ngakoue has never had a season with fewer than 8 sacks, and he matched the 9.5 sack number in 2018. While Allen will see a lot of snaps rushing the passer off of the edge, it is more likely that he takes defensive end snaps away from Campbell, and not Ngakoue. With Ngakoue heading into a contract year and being vocal about his desire to get paid, expect him to easily hit the over.
