The Jacksonville Jaguars were delivered a gut punch in Week 3.

In what was supposed to be the ultimate get-right week vs. a winless and banged-up divisional opponent, the Jaguars got a reality check in the form of a 37-17 home loss to the Houston Texans.

So where do pundits have the Jaguars after their Week 3 loss? We review below.

Fox Sports: No. 13 (-2)

"The idea of the Jaguars is a hell of a lot better than the reality to this point. There’s a lot of talent on this offense, but you wouldn’t know it from three straight weeks of forgettable football. And allowing a kickoff return touchdown to an H-back is just beyond the pale," Fox Sports said.

NFL.com: No. 13 (-4)

"Things went off the rails a bit in Sunday's 20-point home loss to the Texans. It would be foolish to overlook the biggest issues that have plagued the team to this point: third-down offense and pass defense. Third downs have been miserable for Jacksonville, which is converting just 29.7 percent of its attempts through three games,"

NFL.com said.

The Jaguars were only five-for-13 against Houston, with three of those conversions coming when they were down three scores, but that mark actually raised their third-down average. With all the weapons they have, that sort of performance is inexcusable. And on defense, Jacksonville can't seem to stop people unless the pass rush is heated up. That's understandable, given the fact that the unit is built around Josh Allen and Travon Walker, but the Jags' ability to apply pressure has cooled dramatically the past two games.

33rd Team: No. 17 (-9)

"After only scoring nine points against the Chiefs in Week 2, the Jacksonville Jaguars were steamrolled by the Houston Texans. This was a strange game that involved a blown coverage, a dropped touchdown and a kick return for a score. Even with all of those game-altering plays, the Jaguars still lost to the Texans by 20. If Jacksonville drops this week’s matchup with the Falcons in London, it could be time to push the panic button," The 33rd Team said.

USA Today: No. 18 (-8)

"If you stink in America – looking at you, Calvin Ridley – may as well take a two-week European vacation to try and sort things out," USA Today said.

Bleacher Report: No. 17 (-9)

"Remember when we thought the Jacksonville Jaguars might be a legitimate contender in the AFC? Those were fun times. Losing to the Kansas City Chiefs last week was one thing. But being outplayed in every facet of the game by a winless Houston Texans team is quite another. But that's what happened in Week 3. The Jaguars were outclassed on defense. Outplayed on defense. They gave up a touchdown on a kickoff return—to a fullback," Bleacher Report said.

CBS Sports: No. 20 (-10)

"What was that against the Texans? Or were they simply overrated by many -- including me? They sure don't look like a playoff team," Pete Prisco said.

Yahoo! Sports: No. 21 (-10)

"The air is completely out of the Jaguars' balloon. There was a lot of hype for them this offseason, but a bad loss Sunday at home to Houston exposed them as a team with a lot of work to do. It's early and the Jaguars could still have a fantastic season, but they're not going to be as good as some (myself included) had been projecting," Yahoo! Sports said.

Pro Football Network: No. 14 (-6)

"After putting up 31 points in a season-opening win over the Colts, the Jaguars have managed just 26 points over the past two weeks (while allowing 54). Jacksonville might actually have to fight to win the AFC South, which is not a sentence we thought we’d type at this point of the season. Trevor Lawrence and company have scored on just 29.7% of their drives, the eighth-worst rate in the NFL and only slightly better than the points-averse Bears. Things won’t get any easier over the Jags’ next six games. They’ll face the Falcons, Bills, Colts, Saints, Steelers, and 49ers, all featuring top-12 defenses by EPA," Pro Football Network said.
