NFL Predictions: Week 2's Winners and Losers

Week 2 is upon us.

The 2023 NFL season is in full swing and the Jacksonville Jaguars are slated to play in one of the biggest games of the week.

To keep track of how we see the NFL this year, we will be doing weekly win-loss predictions, tracking our progress as the year goes on.

Last week: 10-6

Season: 10-6

Chiefs vs. Jaguars

Winner: Jaguars

I go back and forth on this one every day, but let me go with my current gut feeling: Jaguars shock the Chiefs to force an 0-2 start to the defending champs.

Vikings vs. Eagles

Winner: Eagles

The Vikings' defense has issues at every level. I don't think they can with the Eagles' skill players, most importantly.

Ravens vs. Bengals

Winner: Ravens

Joe Burrow doesn't look 100% and the Bengals' offensive line is still a mess. Lamar Jackson wasn't good in Week 1, butr he can do enough to win.

Bears vs. Buccaneers

Winner: Buccaneers

The Buccaneers had one of the highest blitz rates in the NFL last week and terrorized Kirk Cousins -- I expect the same against a worse offense this week.

Packers vs. Falcons

Winner: Packers

Desmond Ridder doesn't inspire any confidence, even against a so-so Packers squad.

Colts vs. Texans

Winner: Texans

Will Anderson looked like one of the NFL's brightest young defensive stars in Week 1. I think he gives the Colts hell in Week 2.

Chargers vs. Titans

Winner: Chargers

The Titans' offense was a complete mess last week, while the Chargers played in a tough game vs. the Dolphins and match up well vs. the Titans' offense.

Raiders vs. Bills

Winner: Bills

A game that feels like it could potentially go either way, I just don't see the Bills starting 0-2.

Seahawks vs. Lions

Winner: Lions

The Seahawks pass defense looked like a mess vs. the Rams. I am not sure how they cover the Lions' intermediate attack.

Giants vs. Cardinals

Winner: Giants

The Cardinals could get one against an overrated New York Giants team that could still be shell-shocked from Week 1, but I think their defense can do enough to create big plays vs. Arizona's offense.

49ers vs. Rams

Winner: 49ers

This felt like a weird week where a feisty Rams team -- led by a still-impressive Matthew Stafford -- could steal one at home. I am still going with the 49ers, but ...

Jets vs. Cowboys

Winner: Cowboys

Zach Wilson vs. that pass-rush ... yeah, Dallas by a few scores.

Commanders vs. Broncos

Winner: Commanders

Every year, a team starts 2-0 that has no business being undefeated. The Commanders feel like a safe bet to be that team.

Dolphins vs. Patriots

Winner: Dolphins

The Patriots threw counterpunches at the Philadelphia Eagles all game, but the Dolphins' offense might even be scarier.

Saints vs. Panthers

Winner: Saints

The Panthers looked like one of the worst teams in the league in Week 1. The Saints are flawed, but they can blow up the Panthers' offensive line.

Browns vs. Steelers

Winner: Browns

The Browns' defense looks very, very real. I think they overmatch a mistake-prone Steelers' offense.
