Report: Jaguars’ Stadium To Be Renamed EverBank Stadium

After five years, EverBank Stadium will reportedly be making its return.
According to a report from News4Jax, TIAA Bank Field will have its name changed back to EverBank Field starting on Sept. 10. EverBank was the name of the stadium from 2010 through the 2017 seasons.
"In a letter dated June 21, 2023, to the Jaguars and the city of Jacksonville, TIAA Bank gave notice of “Naming Sponsor Name Change.” The letter essentially asks for the team’s and the city’s consent to the name change of the stadium," News4Jax writes.
The Jaguars' stadium has been called TIAA Bank Field since the 2018 season after EverBank, a financial services company, was bought by TIAA Bank. In November, the company announced it would be holding a sale for investors.
"Aligning with a long-term strategic plan to refocus on the company’s retirement business and Nuveen, its asset manager, TIAA has entered into a definitive agreement to sell TIAA Bank to new investors with extensive experience in financial services. TIAA will retain a non-controlling ownership stake in the bank. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed," the company said.
"Under the agreement, which is subject to regulatory approvals, nearly all the bank’s current assets and business lines will be acquired by the new ownership, with the exception of TIAA Trust, which currently is part of TIAA Bank but is closely aligned with the wealth business that complements TIAA’s retirement organization and mission. TIAA will apply for a new, separate national trust bank charter, and the TIAA Trust business will become a subsidiary of TIAA."
