Week 12 QB Index: Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence Rises After Win Over Titans

Trevor Lawrence needed a big bounce-back after his Week 11 performance vs. the San Francisco 49ers.
He had that, and then some, last week vs. the Tennessee Titans.
In a 34-14 win over the Tennessee Titans at home, Lawrence finished the game completing 24 of 32 passes (75.0%) for 262 yards (8.2 YPA), two touchdowns, 0 interceptions, 1 sack and a 119.5 passer rating. Lawrence produced four total touchdowns (two passing, two rushing).
As a result, Lawrence was named Week 11's AFC Offensive Player of the Week. It made Lawrence the first Jaguars player to earn such an honor in 2023.
"I thought he played well. He was in control the whole game, he knew where he wanted to go with the football, he was able to move in the pocket and do some good things," Jaguars offensive coordinator Press Taylor said this week.
"He just really ran the offense, distributed the ball to the guy it was supposed to go to, protected the ball first of all, protected himself. I think we came out of the game with one sack where he actually scrambled and lost a yard, we wish he would’ve flipped it out of bounds for that. He played well and did a good job running the show.”
The performance from Lawrence helped boost his stock in this week's QB Index from NFL.com, with Lawrence rising two spots.
"Lawrence has been good for most of 2023 (save for Week 10), but Sunday was the first time I saw him truly break out of his cocoon and spread his beautiful wings. After a week spent discussing his troublesome knee and how it has limited him this season, Lawrence showed zero signs of any problems, delivering fantastic throws out of structure and even running for a pair of TDs. He was the most dialed in he’s been all season, and he made his two touchdown passes to Calvin Ridley look easy. Yes, it was against the Titans, but this is the perfect time for Lawrence to hit his stride," NFL.com said.
Here is where we will track Lawrence's rank in the QB Index each week:
Week 1: 7
Week 2: 5
Week 3: 6
Week 4: 11
Week 5: 18
Week 6: 11
Week 7: 8
Week 8: 7
Week 9: 8
Week 10: 8
Week 11: 10
Week 12: 8
