Report: Jets Are NOT Adding Former Tennessee Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt to Coaching Staff
Robert Saleh's coaching staff in New York is continuing to grow. Contrary to earlier reports, however, it won't include former Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
The Jets were reportedly "working on a deal" to add Pruitt onto the franchise's coaching staff in 2021. Later on Wednesday, both Connor Hughes of The Athletic and Rich Cimini of ESPN refuted that initial report.
This development comes shortly after the Jets announced 14 new coaches had officially being added to Saleh's staff. That group includes Mike LaFleur (offensive coordinator), Jeff Ulbrich (defensive coordinator) and more.
Pruitt spent the last three years at the helm in Tennessee, taking the Volunteers to one bowl game. He had a 16-19 record in those three seasons, winning only three contests in 2020.
Beyond LaFleur and Ulbrich, here are the other hires under Saleh that the Jets made official with an announcement last week.

Defensive Line Coach – Aaron Whitecotton

Running Backs Coach – Jon "Taylor" Embree
