The New York Jets are reportedly making progress in their pursuit of free-agent receiver Odell Beckham.

Citing Beckham as her source, CBS Sports' Josina Anderson said that the former New York Giants first-round draft pick will meet with the Jets on Monday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport subsequently added information to the report by claiming Beckham's meeting with Jets' brass will be "multi-faceted" while including a physical.

Jets' representatives already met with Beckham during the NFL Owners Meetings in Arizona last month. Gang Green head coach Robert Saleh was photographed hugging the 30-year old free agent.

Both sides apparently thought it worthwhile to take the next step in the process as Beckham makes a return to New York, where he earned three straight Pro Bowl selections as a Giant.

The Jets appear to be courting Beckham despite already having made two significant receiver signings. Without Beckham in the fold, Gang Green currently boasts a Top 3 featuring Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman.

Wilson was the 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Lazard was Aaron Rodgers' favorite target last year in Green Bay. Hardman has been a key contributor to two Super Bowl champion teams with Kansas City.

Meanwhile, Beckham, who is working his way back from a second ACL tear, hasn’t seen game action since suffering injury in Super Bowl LVI on February 13, 2022. He last played a full NFL season as a Cleveland Brown in 2019, which also marked the last time he has produced a 1,000-yard receiving campaign.

The flamboyant receiver made multiple catches in all four of the Rams’ 2021 postseason games. Prior to leaving due to the ACL injury, Beckham made two receptions for 52 yards and one touchdown in Super Bowl LVI.
