2023 Jets Country Player Profile: LB Maalik Hall (46)

In this story:
From Division II in the Sooner State to the big league in the Big Apple —Maalik Hall is on a unique journey.
The Southeastern Oklahoma State linebacker signed a free-agent rookie deal with the New York Jets in the hours following the 2023 NFL Draft and will presumably have a chance to make a name for himself during the NFL Preseason.
Hall is one of three undrafted rookie linebackers who earned UDFA contracts with Gang Green in 2023. The 24-year-old joins Alcorn State's Claudin Cherelus and Miami's Caleb Johnson on the Jets' 90-man roster.
After injury shortened his 2019 season and COVID cancelled his 2020 campaign, the 6-foot-2 small-school product bounced back in a big way in 2021. Hall went on to bring the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Year award to Southeastern Oklahoma.
Hall accounted for 23.0 tackles-for-loss over his final 22 collegiate appearances. In 11 games last fall, he led the team with 77 stops and 8.0 sacks.
