NFL Team Steals Nickname of Darius Slay

The Lions have a bye this week before facing the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
It gives them a chance to rest up and to try to get healthy before their matchup with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
Plenty of action still happened in Week 5, though, including the N.Y. Giants taking on the Minnesota Vikings.
We're bringing this game up because when Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton recorded his first career touchdown, the Giants Twitter account acknowledged it in an interesting fashion.
It tweeted out, "First Career TD for Big Play Slay!"

Lions cornerback Darius Slay, the original "Big Play Slay," took notice, and tweeted out what many who saw the tweet were thinking.
I thought big play slay plays for Detroit 🤔 https://t.co/U7HtjYLEU6

The whole ordeal was best summarized by professional gamer and internet personality Ninja.
I guess Detroit just can’t have anything nice. Looks like you’ll all just have to take it the rest of this season.
