For the first time in Dan Campbell's tenure as head coach, the Lions will host a primetime game. I'm expecting Ford Field to be rocking, which works heavily in Detroit's favor.

Jared Goff and the offense are hoping to return to normalcy and establish the run game against Las Vegas Monday night. Even without David Montgomery, I believe Jahmyr Gibbs is capable of reigniting the Lions' game on the ground.

On Monday night, I believe Gibbs has a big day. He's capable of making an impact as a runner and a receiver. For that reason, I'm expecting him to lead the way as Detroit routs the Raiders.

Last week was about as ugly of a loss as the Lions could've suffered. It was a complete and utter beatdown delivered by the Ravens, and on both sides of the ball. Luckily, Detroit has a solid shot to redeem itself on Monday night against Jimmy Garoppolo and the Raiders.

The Raiders haven't been very good at either scoring points (16.0/game) or stopping teams (23.0 points allowed/game) thus far this season. So, this should be a prime opportunity for Jared Goff, who was playing like an MVP-caliber passer prior to the Ravens loss, and Aaron Glenn's defense to get back on track.

And, behind a loud and raucous Ford Field crowd, I believe the Lions will return to their winning ways in this Week 8 contest.

I do think that the Lions enter this contest as the superior team, but a couple guys will need to have bounce-back performances if they hope to win. This includes the likes of Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown (if he plays), Jameson Williams and Jack Campbell.

The Raiders, on the other hand, are coming off of a deflating loss themselves. I'll be interested in watching former Eastern Michigan DE Maxx Crosby play, whom the Lions will need to contain.

This should be an easy "get right" game for the Lions.

The Lions are ready to win their fourth consecutive game in primetime.

Jared Goff has performed exceedingly well at Ford Field and the defense will have their opportunities to sack Jimmy Garoppolo, who is returning after dealing with a back injury.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs should see a healthy dose of touches, as the Raiders' rush defense has not played at a consistent level.

Josh McDaniels squad recently had a team meeting to air out feelings regarding how the team's struggles.

Unfortunately, the Raiders will need to schedule another meeting Tuesday, as Detroit earns their sixth victory of the season.
