Raiders Go From Underdogs to Favorites Against Packers

In this story:
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers opened the week as 1.5-point favorites for Monday night’s game at the Las Vegas Raiders. That line moved Las Vegas’ way all week. As of late Monday morning, the Raiders had moved to 2.5-point favorites at most sportsbooks, including SI Sportsbook.
Why the four-point change?
According to a couple sportsbook sources, it’s the combination of sharp action and the certainty at quarterback for the Raiders.
Veteran starter Jimmy Garoppolo was inactive for last week’s game against the Chargers and opened this week in the concussion protocol. However, he was full participation to end the week and will start against Green Bay.
With Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander and Raiders receiver Davante Adams good to go after being questionable on Saturday’s injury report, the over/under for Adams’ receiving total at FanDuel Sportsbook has been set at 78.5 yards.

Green Bay has to worry about more than the All-Pro receiver who dominated during his eight seasons with the team. NFL rushing champion Josh Jacobs is off to a terrible start but could have some opportunities against Green Bay’s perpetually porous run defense. His over/under at FanDuel is 75.5 yards.
For receiving yards at FanDuel, Romeo Doubs’ total is 47.5 yards, Christian Watson is 46.5, Jayden Reed is 34.5 and Luke Musgrave is 34.5. Reed could have an advantage with the Raiders’ starting slot corner ruled out. For rushing yards, Aaron Jones’ over/under is 47.5 yards while AJ Dillon’s total is 25.5.

For passing yards at BetMGM, Garoppolo’s over/under is 241.5 yards while Love’s total is 235.5 yards.
Jacobs and Adams are the favorites as anytime touchdown scorers at SI Sportsbook.
In the big brother battle at kicker, Anders Carlson and Daniel Carlson have totals of 6.5 points at SI Sportsbook.
According to John Ewing from BetMGM, the Packers are 16-6 against the spread when underdogs, including 4-1 with Love in the lineup.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, the over/under has crept up from 43.5 points to open the week to 46.5 points on Monday. Green Bay has gone over in three of its four games; Las Vegas has gone under in three of its four games.
At FanDuel, where the Raiders are 2.5-point favorites, 62 percent of money and 63 percent of the bets are on Green Bay to cover the spread.
