Quick Hits: Confidence in Chuba, Tarik Cohen 'Getting Close' + More

Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich met with the media for the final time ahead of Sunday's game.

Confidence in RB group if Miles Sanders (groin) can't play

"A lot of confidence in that group. Chuba has done very well. Obviously, we've been looking to get him more carries but I didn't call that many runs last week. We hope this game is more balanced. You never know. I have a lot of confidence in Chuba. We'll be good either way."

How the team responded after last week's loss

"You just watch our practice tape from this week and you could see it. That for us is the gold standard. What does the tape show? And sometimes for us that's called the silent tape. If there's no commentary, nobody's talking and you just look at the tape, what does it show? If you would watch our practice tape this week, you would see that [urgency]."

When Tarik Cohen could be activated

"I think he's getting close. He looked particularly good this week."

Adjusting without Xavier Woods

I don't think it's a major adjustment. I just think that you're losing a great player and a great communicator. But at the same time, there's been so much rotation by everybody in there that everybody's getting a lot of reps, so I think we'll respond well."

Getting the tight ends more involved in the passing game

"That's the ebb and flow of week to week. What coverages they're playing...I mean, every play has a progression. Sometimes there's pure progression plays where it's just left to right, right to left. Other times there's coverage-based progression stuff. We can design plays to go to the tight end but obviously, Bryce is going to put the ball where the coverage dictates it to go. Our philosophy is always spread it out, get everybody involved and when you do that, there's going to be an ebb and flow to it."
