Julius Peppers, Muhsin Muhammad to Enter Panthers Hall of Honor

Two Panthers legends to be recognized forever.

The Carolina Panthers announced Monday morning that legendary defensive end Julius Peppers and wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad will be entering the team's Hall of Honor this fall.

The two will be recognized at halftime of the home game against the Houston Texans on October 29th which is slated for a 1 p.m. kick.

Peppers spent 10 seasons (2002-09, 2017-18) with the Panthers and recorded 441 tackles, 107 tackles for loss, 97 sacks, 89 QB hits, 50 pass breakups, 34 forced fumbles, 10 fumble recoveries, and six interceptions. He was a 9X Pro Bowler, 3X All-Pro, and named on the All 2000s and All 2010s teams. He will become eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024.

Muhammad spent 11 of his 14-year NFL career with the Panthers (1996-04, 2008-09) and remains second in franchise history in receptions (696), receiving yards (9,255), and touchdown receptions (50).

"Muhsin Muhammad and Julius Peppers were drafted by the Panthers. Both became All-Pros here. Both came back to Carolina to finish their careers. This is another homecoming, a permanent one," team owner David Tepper said via press release. "Not only did Muhsin and Julius set high standards on the field, they also were selected as Panthers Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year team winners. Having gotten to know both these fine men, I have no doubt that they deserve to join the distinguished group of Panthers in the Hall of Honor."
