In this story:

Juston Burris has spent the last three seasons as a member of the Carolina Panthers secondary, appearing in 28 games and making 25 starts. Now, Burris is moving into a new role, a scout.

The Panthers announced the move on Friday as part of several changes within the scouting department. Burris will get his start as an intern and there's no indication as to whether or not playing football is still on the table since he has not made an official retirement announcement.

Burris did deal with his fair share of injuries in his career, particularly during his three-year stint with the Panthers. In 2020, he suffered a rib injury against the Bears landing him on injured reserve. Since then, he's also dealt with hip and groin injuries along with a concussion. Burris missed 23 games in three seasons with Carolina, meaning he was available for only 45% of the games played.
