Lamar Jackson Demands Trade From Ravens: Patriots on Wish List?
Lamar Jackson may not need an agent. But he needs a new team.
The dynamic quarterback and former NFL MVP penned a farewell letter to Baltimore on Monday, alluding to a trade request he made to the Ravens March 2. In his post on Twitter, Jackson claims the Ravens "have not been interested in meeting my value."
Jackson is his own agent, and the relationship in Baltimore has deteriorated into a mess. The Ravens last week signed former New England Patriots' receiver Nelson Agholor, but they really have no idea which quarterback will be throwing to him in 2023.
One NFL team's trash is another one's treasure?
Several NFL insiders have already been suggesting Foxboro as a fit for Jackson. Former Pats' linebacker Rob Ninkovich said last week the move would be the jolt the franchise desperately needs.
"I sure as heck want to see Lamar running around with a New England Patriot logo on his helmet,'' Ninkovich said on ESPN’s “Get Up!. "Bbecause if you see it out there, the Patriots instantly become the division favorites and, to me, get right back into that Super Bowl hunt.”
Recently retired safety Devin McCourty has also openly pined for Jackson in New England.

He's Lamar Jackson. On a team sorely lacking playmakers, the Patriots could acquire a star running back and star quarterback with one move.
Asked about Jackson's situation during the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix on Monday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick was typically tight-lipped.
Said Bill of Lamar, "I'm not going to talk about players on other teams."
But, as of now, Lamar is pronouncing himself as a player without a team.
