Another blowout.

Another game, another New England Patriots victory. This one ended in a 30-14 drubbing of the AFC East rival New York Jets.

It was much of the same in this game, so here are just a few observations from the Week 3 win for the Patriots.

1) Run game struggled despite a strong offensive day

Despite yet another strong passing performance by the Patriots offense, their run game was still something to be desired.

Sony Michel had yet another awful outing, rushing nine times for 11 yards and managed to get in the end zone on a goal line carry. Rex Burkhead received the most snaps out of all the RBs on a day when James White was absent from the game. He contributed 47 yards on 11 carries out of the backfield and corralled six receptions for 22 yards in the passing game.

The injuries across the offensive line are the main reason the team has struggled to run the ball early on this season. Not having James Develin and promoting Jakob Johnson to the active roster also played a factor in the team shying from the run game in Week 3. The need for it has been scarce, but when New England plays a team that can compete in a game with them, the running game needs to be there, and right now, it's not.

2) Is Jamie Collins back to All-Pro form?

Jamie Collins, the former drafted Patriot who left for the Browns and then returned to the Patriots this season, looks like he may be in line for a career year.

Collins, who was an All-Pro in 2015 with New England, had himself a day yet again Sunday against the Jets. Collins recorded six tackles, two sacks, and two tackles for loss.

A part of the reason the Patriots have been so elite on defense this season is because of Collins, who has found his form inside a New England defense that is stacked on all fronts. His ability to rush the passer, wiggle past defenders, and display his athleticism put him in line for another All-Pro tag at the of the season.

3) Stephen Gostkowski missed another PAT

Another game, another win, and another missed kicked for Stephen Gostkowski. That's been the label for the Patriots season.

Gostkowski missed another PAT on Sunday afternoon, which makes it his third of the season. Between that and missed field goals Gostkowski has missed for kicks this season.

Though it hasn't mattered much to the final score, it's worrisome that Gostkowski still continues to be inconsistent in the kicking game this season. Bill Belichick and the coaching staff still continue to have confidence in his abilities, but one may wonder if that'll change during a game with a much closer score.
