Raiders NFL Draft Prospect: HB Audric Estimé, ND

With Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White coming up on Year 3, the Silver and Black should adding a young running back to their roster.

The Las Vegas Raiders' running back room is not getting any younger, and the future of the group needs to be on the club's mind.

Selecting a running back in this year's NFL Draft would be the route to go if the Raiders choose to act.

Halfback prospect Audric Estimé of Notre Dame could be that prospect if Las Vegas decides to take a running back on Day 2.

Estimé was named to a number of honorary lists last year, including the Associated Press, Sporting News, USA Today and CBS Sports 2023 All-American Second Teams. He led the Fighting Irish in rushing yards with 1,341, the fifth-most in a single season in program history. Estimé also recorded 18 rushing touchdowns and 142 receiving yards.

The prospect helped Notre Dame finish with the 28th-best rushing offense in the nation at 185.7 rushing yards per game. The team ended its season with a 10-3 overall record and ranked 14th in the final AP Poll.

Estimé led the Fighting Irish in rushing the year prior as well, totaling 920 rushing yards. He also posted 11 rushing touchdowns, 135 receiving yards and a touchdown reception.

Pro Football Focus gave Estime an overall grade of 94.2 for his 2023 season and an 84.2 overall grade for his 2022 campaign.

Estimé joined Notre Dame in 2021 and would play in 12 games in his first season with the program.

At this year's NFL Combine, Estimé recorded a 4.71-second 40-yard-dash time, a 1.58-second 10-yard-split time, a 38-inch vertical jump, a 10-feet-5-inch broad jump and 23 reps on bench press.

NFL Next Gen Stats gave Estimé a production score of 81, which ranked first among all halfbacks. He also received an athleticism score of 64, which ranked 24th among halfbacks, and a total score of 76, the fifth-best score among halfbacks.

At first, Estimé could be a solid backup for the Silver and Black and could give Alexander Mattison a run for his money as White's partner in reps. With experience, he could someday be shaped into a starter, but he has a lot to prove before that is considered.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
