Three Quality Free Agents Raiders Could Consider

There are still quality free agents on the market who the Las Vegas Raiders could consider adding.

The biggest wave of free agency is over, as several of the top options on the market have made decisions on which teams to join.

However, there are still quality free agents on the market. These players will not garner long-term contracts, but they can earn team-friendly contracts and help some playoff contenders.

The Las Vegas Raiders hope to become among those playoff contenders in 2024 and could consider some options still on the board.

With that, let’s look at three quality free agents the Raiders could consider adding to the roster.

Guard Mark Glowinski - The Raiders need a right guard, as they have not re-signed Greg Van Roten. Glowinski profiles similarly to Van Roten, a veteran lineman who has been with a few teams in his career.

Glowinski, who will be 32 years old going into the 2024 season, played 493 snaps for the New York Giants in 2023, according to Pro Football Focus. He was a fourth-round selection by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Glowinski had a solid season for the Giants, earning a 69.6 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus. He had a rough Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys but bounced back as a pass protector after that.

The Raiders could fill a need in the short term by adding Glowinski, who could immediately help their run game.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. - Beckham is on the other side of 30 years old now. He is certainly not the superstar receiver he once was, but he is still a talented player who could provide good depth for the Raiders’ passing attack.

The three-time Pro Bowler spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens, catching 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns. He won’t make too many explosive plays, but he will still get open and move the chains consistently.

The Raiders would improve their passing game and provide another solid weapon if they added Beckham.

Linebacker Shaquille Leonard - A three-time first-team All-Pro, Leonard has dealt with injuries that have hindered his play in the last few seasons.

However, when he is able to get on the field, he is still a productive player. In his most recent healthy season, he posted 122 total tackles and a league-leading eight forced fumbles.

Leonard could be a productive third linebacker next to Robert Spillane and Divine Deablo and could raise the floor of the Raiders’ defense.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
