Raiders to Face a Difficult Slate of Road Games

The Las Vegas Raiders will have to travel to a few of the toughest stadiums to play at in the NFL next season. They'll have to lean on the lessons learned this past season to help guide them.

The Las Vegas Raiders enter next season with a demanding road schedule.

In 2024, the Raiders will face the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers on the road. They also play the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens on the road. Depending on when they travel to play those teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers could also be challenging road games for the Raiders.

The Raiders, of course, also face the back-to-back defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, the Denver Broncos, and the Chargers twice next season. No matter how well any of their AFC foes are or are not doing during the season, divisional games are always tough, as the teams know each other well. Las Vegas' AFC West road games are sure to be hard-fought battles no matter where they are played.

Luckily for the Raiders, this past season, they had one of the most difficult seasons of any team in the National Football League. However, their head coach, defensive coordinators, and a large part of the team from this past season will return. This makes their rocky second half of the 2023 season much more valuable, as it gave both the coaches and the players the experience of working together through multiple unfavorable situations.

Not only did the Raiders face adversity through the second half of the season, but they did so without being able to change much of their roster, as the trade deadline had already passed by the time Coach Antonio Pierce took over. The Raiders began the second half of the season with a rookie head coach and a rookie quarterback, who each undoubtedly learned lessons that will translate well to this upcoming season.

Raiders General Manager Tom Telesco and Coach Pierce have begun revamping their roster, specifically their defense. While there will be critical changes to their offense, improving their defense will have to continue to be at the top of Telesco and Pierce's priorities as they face a challenging slate of road games next season.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
