As the Senior Bowl kicks off today at 2:30pm Eastern time on Saturday, the Las Vegas Raiders have had eyes on all the prospects who have been showcasing their skills and hoping to improve their draft stock.

Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham is the coach of the National team, which features college stars such as edge rusher Isaiah Foskey from Notre Dame, offensive tackle Dawand Jones from Ohio State, and running back Chase Brown from Illinois.

Graham has an opportunity to build relationships with these players and report back to General Manager Dave Ziegler, while also giving suggestions on who the team should take a closer look at. Today we are going to take a look at an offensive line prospect on Graham’s team, Jaelyn Duncan out of Maryland.

Duncan spent four years with the Terrapins and started 38 out of a possible 40 games. He saw steady improvement each season, as his sack numbers decreased from his sophomore to his junior year. He had some unimpressive numbers his senior year, allowing his QB hits, hurries, and sack numbers to rise in 2022.

Despite some underwhelming production, Duncan has the physical tools to be a good offensive tackle in the NFL. He possesses ideal size, standing at 6-6 and weighing 298 pounds. Teams may want him to put on some more weight, but being just under 300 is a good starting point.

Duncan has long arms, a wide build, and plays with balance, attributes that all prototypical NFL tackles possess. He thrives in the run game, showing off great strength at the point of attack. He will need to improve his footwork and his pass protection if he wants to put it all together.

Duncan has had a good Senior Bowl, winning the majority of his one-on-one matchups and showing improvement in his areas of weakness. He mostly played left tackle for the Terrapins, but a move to the right side may be in his future in the NFL. The Raiders are going to be looking hard at offensive tackles in free agency and the NFL Draft, and if they want to find a good value tackle who they can develop, Jaelyn Duncan may be their guy.

The NFL Scouting Combine is Feb. 28-March 6, 2023, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. March 7, 2023, before 4 p.m. EST, is the club's deadline to designate Franchise or Transition Players.

March 13-15 is the free agent negotiation period. During that time, starting at 12 p.m. EST on March 13 and ending at 3:59:59 p.m. EST on March 15, clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2022 Player Contracts at 4 p.m EST on March 15.

The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period begins at 4 p.m. EST on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
