What Safety Jaquan Johnson Can Bring to the Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders, this NFL free agency, added a lot of talent to their defensive roster. The Raiders signed six new defensive players to their roster. One of the freshly signed defensive players is Safety Jaquan Johnson.
Jaquan Johnson was signed on March 21 by the Raiders.
Johnson played college football at the University of Miami (Fla.) and spent three seasons as a safety with the Hurricanes. During his time In Miami, Johnson appeared in 48 games. He finished with 252 tackles, seven and a half tackles for a loss, and two and a half sacks. He also had eight interceptions, seven passes defended, and three fumble recoveries, with six forced fumbles. As a senior, Johnson was named Second-Team All-ACC.
Jaquan Johnson is entering his fifth season as an NFL safety, spending the last four with the Buffalo Bills. Last NFL season, Johnson played 16 games with three starts for the Bills and finished the season with a career-high 25 tackles and 32 combined tackles. He also finished last season with one interception and one pass defended. His best game last season came in Week 9 against the New York Jets. Johnson finished the game with 10 combined tackles and four solo tackles.
In his career, Johnson has played in 60 NFL games. As a safety, he has four career starts with 39 tackles, 21 solo tackles, and two interceptions. He also has experience on special teams, where he has 13 special team stops.
Johnson could be a key defensive free agent signing and will hope to impact the Raiders' defense this upcoming NFL season.
