The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to win their second game in a row when they travel to Orchard Park, N.Y., to take on the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.

The Bills dropped their Week 1 game to the New York Jets on a walk-off punt return touchdown in overtime.

The Bills will come into the game against the Raiders looking to fix some of the mistakes they made against the Jets, as quarterback Josh Allen was responsible for four turnovers.

The Raiders have not beaten the Bills since the 2016 season, and they are looking to change those fortunes this Sunday.

Let’s take a closer look at the Bills and what the Raiders should expect from them on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Offensively, the game plan starts with how to slow down Allen. While he is extremely talented and possesses elite arm strength and mobility, he tends to get careless with the ball. On Monday night, he threw three interceptions and lost a fumble while running.

When Allen is at his best, he is finding receivers all over the field and engineering a high-powered offense. The Raiders will have to be ready for a motivated Allen, who will be looking to make up for the mistakes he made against the Jets.

The Bills might be as deep at running back as they have ever been with Allen and Coach Sean McDermott. They have not had a 1,000-yard rusher since LeSean McCoy ran for more than 1,100 yards in 2017.

James Cook is a breakout candidate in his second year. They also have Damien Harris and Latavius Murray, two very capable depth backs. With Allen also running the ball, the Bills’ rushing attack could be dynamic.

As always, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who is one of the best in the league at his position, should have an excellent season. Marcus Peters, Jakorian Bennett and the entire Raiders secondary will need to make sure Diggs does not do too much damage, because he is a dangerous threat in their passing attack.

At tight end, Dawson Knox and rookie Dalton Kincaid are both formidable pass catchers, and Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey finds creative ways to get them open.

On defense, the Bills have an elite unit at all three levels. Their defensive line features good, young players like Ed Oliver on the interior and Gregory Rousseau off the edge. Rousseau is a massive 6-foot-6 and 267 pounds, and he had eight sacks last season. The Bills’ front could cause the Raiders problems.

Terrel Bernard takes over as the middle linebacker after Tremaine Edmunds’ departure. Matt Milano was named First-Team All-Pro in 2022. Both players possess high football IQs and great athleticism.

In the Bills' secondary, Jordan Poyer, Tre’Davious White, and Micah Hyde have four Pro Bowl appearances and two First-Team All-Pros among them. This unit is one of the best in the NFL.

The Raiders are heading into a difficult place to win against one of the most stacked rosters in the NFL. Coming off of a loss, the Bills are going to do everything they can to avoid falling to 0-2.

If the Raiders want to win this game, they will have to find success through the air against an elite secondary, success on the ground against a strong front seven, and find ways to stop Allen and the Bills’ offense.

The Silver and Black remain on the road next week as they travel to play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 1:05 p.m. EDT/10:05 a.m. PDT.
