WATCH: Aaron Rodgers Gives Special Message to Rams QB Stetson Bennett

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett has had to overcome doubters at every stage of his career.
He hardly had any offers coming out of high school, walked on at Georgia and transferred to junior college before making his way back to the Bulldogs. He then had to earn the starting job after backing up several other quarterbacks, and proceeded to lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back national championships. Even then, critics said he was too old and small to make it to the NFL, with some even predicting him to go undrafted.
That's not what happened though, as the Rams had enough faith in him to select him in Round 4 of the 2023 NFL Draft. Bennett having the Rams believe in him enough to draft him that high was surely special for him. What might be just as special is having New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who Bennett watched growing up, share his belief in him.
Bennett recently starred in a video by Fanatics where NFL rookies received inspiring messages from their football idols. For Bennett, that idol was Rodgers. Additionally, Bennett received a signed Green Bay Packers jersey from Rodgers, with the message "Stetson, loved watching you play at Georgia."
The video doesn't show what Rodgers told Bennett in the message, but the jersey signature shows it must've been inspiring.
It's easy to forget with how much he has accomplished, but Rodgers had some doubters entering the NFL as well. After being a potential No. 1 overall pick candidate in the 2005 NFL Draft, Rodgers slid all the way to the Packers at No. 24. That ended up working quite well for him though, and who knows how his career may have gone if he did become the top pick.
As Bennett enters the NFL with doubters of his own, this special message from Rodgers will surely be a driving force for him.
