Justice Hill on Ravens RBs - 'Best in The League!'

The Baltimore Ravens have a wealth of options at the running back position, and Justice Hill feels that the Ravens have the best group in the NFL.

The Baltimore Ravens (1-0) extended their undefeated preseason streak to 24 in a 20-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles (0-1) on Saturday night.

While much has been made of the additions to the offense, most notably Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers, the running back room has some talent there as well.

Against the Eagles, the Ravens rushed for 133 yards while going at 4.5 yards a clip, and running back Justice Hill had some high praise for his fellow running backs.

“I feel like we have the best running back room in the league,” Hill said. “We all bring a different skillset, and whenever we‘re all out there, we can show that. Whatever number is called, whoever’s number is called, we all just go out there and execute and make plays.”

While the offense is still coming to terms with coordinator Todd Monken's new vertical-style offense, naturally, there will be some inconsistencies during the preseason outings.

With OTAs, minicamp, training camp, and now proper live game action, things are slowly starting to come together for the Ravens.

But Hill is under no illusions, there's still plenty to work on as Week 1 of the regular season is just around the corner.

“We’re always working,” Hill said. “If we were there right now, I wouldn’t know what we’re working for. So we just continue to get better every single day and every single game, we have to just continue to stack and stack [good days], and by the time we get to the season, midway through, all the way to the end, we should really start to click."

It might only be early in Monken's time as coordinator, but the Ravens already feel good about where the offense is and where it will hopefully end up.

Baltimore is in action against the Washington Commanders on Monday night in its second preseason game, with the running back situation likely to be another fascinating watch as J.K. Dobbins is still on the Pup list.

Hill, along with Gus Edwards, Melvin Gordon, and rookie Keaton Mitchell will all be looking to impress as the fight for spots tightens up.
